Kenilworth (Warwickshire), the Lion Pub
Last year the Lion pulled out all the stops and, as a result, they were acclaimed as "St George's Day Pub of the Year 2004" by Sky Preview magazine.  Not only that but they made the front page of the Coventry Evening Telegraph too.  In previous years they promoted the day as an unofficial bank holiday, encouraging employers to give their staff time off which resulted in 200 punters in the pub before 12 noon.  This year - a Saturday - a £5 purchase of a St George t-shirt (50% to Cancer Research UK) will entitle you to your beer at VAT free prices.  Phone:  for info.

We the English Democrats for Norfolk, will be celebrating St George's Day at the George & Dragon pub, Thurton Nr Norwich ( along the A146 to Loddon and Bungy Road). We will be having a childrens balloon race, face painting, colouring competition, bric a brac stall, red roses and St George balloons for sale and a EDP info stall. We will have our own ' St George' present, and the pub landlord will be running traditional English food on the menu of course. It starts at 10.30am on the 23rd April

St George's Day Festival of Aston Martin, Royal Windsor
Organised by the Aston Martin Owners Club, one for the petrolheads. 300 Aston Martins will gather and parade through Windsor Castle for a Royal Inspection by HM the Queen and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh who will take the Royal salute. The parade will be led by St.George on horseback and will end with a public display of all the Astons at Frogmore in Windsor Great Park, as well as a special display by the Light Cavalry of the Honorable Artillery Company. Fun for all the family at historical Wrest Park at English Heritage's biggest St. George's Day Celebration. Activities include:-
